Traffic Advisory for Jubilee

The New Glasgow Riverfront Jubilee Board and the Town of New Glasgow would like to acknowledge the great community support for the Jubilee from the outstanding volunteers and sponsors to great cooperation from the public pertaining to necessary street closures and traffic delays that all enable this major tourism and community event to be a success.

During The New Glasgow Riverfront Jubilee, Riverside Parkway will be closed from George Street to MacLean Street from Friday, July 30 at 5:30 pm until Monday August 1, 2010 at 8:00 am. Dalhousie Street, between Provost St and Riverside Parkway, will also be closed during this event. Glasgow Square parking lot will be closed from 6am Thursday to 8am Monday.

Vehicle access to the TD bank and Crabby J's Marina and Sips Cafe must be accessed from the George Street bridge, except during operation of the Jubilee main stage from 7pm until 2am Friday, Saturday and Sunday when Riverside to the marina and TD will be closed to vehicle traffic.

On Saturday, July 30, Terrace Street from George Street to Bell Street will be closed to traffic (except residents) from 11am until 6:30pm, and from 12pm until 7pm on Sunday.

Motorists travelling to the downtown core can expect delays due to the special event of the Riverfront Jubilee. The Jubilee and the Town of New Glasgow thank the public for its cooperation and support of this provincial signature event.
