We wanted to share this note from a happy Jubilee-goer with all our volunteers and sponsors. Sometimes we think that we're giving to the event, but this note reminds us that our contributions are really about making our community a better place. Thank you to each of you for making the Jubilee a memorable event for all those who joined us...

 

Carlton,

I wanted to send along thanks to you and everyone else who made this great weekend possible. It was the best 3 day music festival I have ever attended. My wife and I spent the whole time in New Glasgow and had a great time.

We live in Halifax. When we were looking at planning a trip this summer, without our 2 young children, we contemplated New York, Boston and a number of other locations. After seeing the line up for the Jubilee, we decided that New Glasgow was the place we wanted to go. Many people questioned this decision, but we said that if this concert was in Toronto, Montreal, etc, we would likely travel there to see it. Not only was the music excellent, but the people were wonderful as well.

We take away many great memories, including meeting artists Dave Gunning, Carmel Mikol, Colin MacDonald and John Angus MacDonald. We were also fortunate to have met you, Scott deCoste and Alan Bezanson. You made us feel very welcome. We now hope to make this a yearly event.
